Description
Sheboygan County Interfatih Organization, founded in 1989, grew out of
the need for faith members to reach out into their own community and
serve through volunteerism. At the begining of the year 2000 we will
have 34 member faith communities (Jewish, Bahai, and Christian). Through
primarily volunteerism we have served over 10,325 people in our county.
Programs include Parish Nursing, transportation assistance, rent-utility
assistance, housing, health care needs, clothing, and food/nutrition
assistance. All services are free, except for the transitional living
program which residents do offer financial assistance to cover some of
the programing cost.
