Impact Northwest s
mission is to help people achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and to
prevent and alleviate the detrimental effects of poverty. The agency has
been providing services in fulfillment of this purpose since its
inception in 1966 when four neighborhoods in Southeast Portland founded
the organization to combat poverty. Impact Northwest has grown to serve
over 70,000 residents in Multnomah County, including children, families,
seniors, and adults with disabilities.
