Description
Provides
assistance with food, shelter (rent or mortgage), and utility bills for
families of active military personnel.
Assistance is in the form of
vouchers.
Amount of assistance depends on the number of dependents left
behind after deployment.
Also available to make community presentations
about their services.HOW SERVICE IS PROVIDED: On-site.
In cases of
serious disability, home visit for intake may be possible - this is
decided on a case-by-case basis.WHO QUALIFIES: Must be a legal resident
of Geauga County for 90 days prior to making application for financial
assistance.
Can be a spouse, dependent child or widow of an honorably
discharged veteran, or a parent receiving V.
A.
benefits.
Must be
suffering a level of poverty that can be demonstrated in real hardship
and deprivation.
Considers many factors when determining financial need
including income from work, benefits from County, State and the Federal
Government, and the claimant s living expenses and assets.
Military
family member must be deployed for other than training purposes.
Reserves must have been activated by presidential (federal) order, not

s, copies of all current monthly bills, landlord statement, if

I have been trying for 1 month plus.They cut my power I am unable to.work right now.I have never ask for any help but they turned off my power and I lost all my food.My bill was only 237.Now I have been staying with famliy I need to go home.pkeade help me. 1217 Caleb Ave Madison.We have never been shit down like this.Tje bill is in my x husband name he wrote a letter that it stays in his be I l8ve al9ne
