The mission of the United Tenants of Albany is to improve the living conditions of tenants, including physical housing conditions, tenants rights for security and equity, and the quality of life in the community. Priority will be given to work with people with the greatest needs, such as tenants with lowest incomes, worst housing conditions, and in the most vulnerable situations. Emphasis will be placed on self-help efforts and on organizing tenants and neighbors around broader housing issues whenever possible as well as providing information and counseling to the general public.
