Description
The purpose for
which this corporation was formed is as follows: To engage in any lawful
activity or initiative to improve the quality of life for individuals
and families in the community and to assist them in moving from
dependency on others to self-sufficiency through the development of
basic living and employment skills.
In an effort to encourage the
development of basic living skills and improve the quality of life for
individuals and families in the community, the corporation will
specifically: A.
Establish and maintain community activities to assist
individuals and families move from dependency on others to
self-sufficiency in their daily lives; B.
Establish, maintain and or
disseminate advise, referrals, and information to prepare and provide
individuals with the information they need to better enable them to seek
and obtain employment; C.
Assist individuals and families in breaking
the public assistance cycle and achieving self-sufficiency; D.
Establish, maintain and or facilitate activities designed to foster
better working relation between landlords and tenants in the community
through dissemination of information regarding landlord/tenant rights
and responsibilities; upgrade of rental housing conditions;
understanding and enforcement of housing code and relate laws; assist in
establishing and or maintaining open lines of communications between and
among landlords, tenants, Department of Social Services and other
entities providing or assisting in the payment of rent and local
government code enforcement agencies.
