- The Grosse Pointe Crisis Club furnishes food, clothing, and other necessities and pays emergency bills for persons caught in a crisis due to illness or death of a breadwinner, fire, or other disaster.
- It furnishes the services before the larger charitable and/or social organizations can act.
- Worthiness of aid is decided by the board of trustees or its designated agent after thorough investigation of each case.
- In addition the board of trustees has the authority to grant specific contributions to other non-profit charitable organizations providing similar services.

16 years ago I found out we were expecting a child with Down Syndrome as our car was broken down and we needed to move Grosse Pointe crisis Club stepped in and completely saved our family I will never forget them
