Addresses social service concerns for individuals at risk or families in crisis.
Programs offered are:Assisi Bridge House and Independent Living Program - offers a residential halfway house for chemically dependent men.
The Independent Living Program is a transitional program for men who have successfully completed the Asissi Bridge House program (Bernadette Thibodaux, Administrator).
Catholic Housing Services - enables first time homeowners to purchase homes with credit, knowledge of budget counseling and education (Paul Ringo, Program Manager).
Coastal Entrepreneur's Net to Success (CENTS) - renders training and small business loans to support the development and growth of micro-enterprises (Patrick Murphy, Program Manager).
Emergency Assistance - assists individuals and families in crisis from fire, flood or other natural disasters, emergencies, funeral expenses and medicine (Jennifer Gaudet, Caseworker).
Foster Grandparent - provides opportunities for low-income persons age 60 and older to offer supportive services to children.
Foster grandparents work with 0-21 year olds who are having trouble adjusting to school, homeless or emergency shelters or other settings.
Foster Grandparents work with children on location and earn a tax -free stipend that may not affect any other benefits (Van Johnson, Program Manager).
Good Samaritan Food Banks - Assists with emergency food, household and personal items to individuals or families in Crisis (Reynold Pitre, Program Manager).
Maternity and Adoptions - services community with pregnancy counseling and adoptive placements with couples within the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
Pre-placement home studies for inter-country adoptions (Robert Gorman, Executive Director).Project Self-Help - helps adults with education, employment skills or essential materials/uniforms for employment (Jennifer Gaudet, Program Coordinator).
St. Lucy Day Care and Child Development Center - offers a preschool and child development service for 6 month to 5 year old children.
Sliding scale, scholarships available (Carolyn Woods, Program Manager).
