The Greater Lafayette Chapter works under the guidelines of the American Civil Liberties Union to defend freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution and its Bill of Rights: the right to freedom of expression, to due process of law, to privacy, and to equal protection of the laws.

The Board of Directors of the local chapter responds to questions from individuals or groups who believe their rights are in jeopardy.
