The CCC was incorporated in 1985 to expand the ministry programs of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Since then it has developed into one of the most comprehensive faith-based social service programs in Florida and indeed, the nation. However, the CCC differs from many social service programs in that, with the exception of the Children?s Shelter and Benevolence Center, intervention in crisis situations is not the only, nor even the primary goal, but rather having a life-changing impact on individuals, empowering them with the direction, skills and desire to lead productive lives and provide safe, stable, nurturing homes for themselves and their children or future families.
