Description
Coalition of churches, synagogues and religious societies offer family violence education programs, a Refugee Resettlement Center, advocacy for the development of affordable housing, Emergency Aid Network for one-time basic needs financial grants, and the ARC Angels program which provides donated household goods and cleaning products to low income families in need.
The Dream Homes Community Center (DHCC) involves three programs:
a) Point of entry for people seeking housing services because they are homeless, at-risk of homelessness or previously homeless and recently housed;
b) assistance for people looking for public rental housing; and
c) a first-time homeownership program for lower-income persons.
Elegibility:
HPRP provides funding to assist families and individuals who are at imminent risk of homelessness.
Must be "imminently at risk of becoming literally homeless within the next 6-15 days":
*Being evicted within 6-15 days from private dwelling (own home, or family/friend s home), OR
*Being discharged from an institution in which the person has been a resident for more than 30 consecutive days, OR
*Living in housing that has been condemned by housing officials and is no longer considered habitable, OR
*Fleeing a domestic violence housing situation.
IN ADDITION TO ONE OF THE ABOVE:
*No appropriate housing options have been identified, and
*The person lacks the financial resources and support networks needed to obtain immediate housing or remain in their existing housing.
NOTE:
If literally homeless or imminently homelessness (within 5 days), refer to homeless shelter.

M-F: 9am-5pm;
Dream Homes Community Center:
M-F: 10am-5pm Cannot apply more than once in any 18 month period
