Description
Hours: 10:00am - 2:30pm
Monday - Friday.
Must currently be past-due in rent payment.* -Must
have a verifiable emergency or hardship and be in danger of losing
housing. -Monthly income must exceed monthly rental amount (the amount
income shall exceed is determined by case management agency). -Must have
exhausted all other possible resources. -Client must be named on rental
agreement and be a primary resident in home. -Assistance must bring
client current and guarantee an additional 30 days of service.
-Assistance is provided once in an award phase (this is normally once in
a calendar year). *If client is past due more than one month inform
client assistance is only provided toward the current month and client
must provide additional past-due rent payment as part of their
co-payment. Acceptable housing can include those residing and renting
in: -Apartments -Houses or room(s) in a home (this shall not be confused
with subleasing, client must be renting the house or room from the owner
of the home) -Hotels (if the hotel does monthly rental agreements).
-Mobile home spaces or mobile home parks. *If client has received ARRA
funding already (ie. HPRP) they may still be eligible for EFSP
assistance. Client is INELIGIBLE if: -They receive section 8. -Live in
subsidized housing. -Reside in sober living facility. INELIGIBLE costs
under this program: -Deposits of any kind -Late Charges
