Mediation is

Fairfield Township Public Assistance -Tippecanoe Co.
Each county in Indiana is divided into townships.
A Township Trustee is
an elected official who is, among other duties, responsible for public
assistance (poor relief) for residents of the township.
This may include
help with food, shelter, utilities (does not pay deposits, reconnect
fees, or penalties),clothing, household supplies, medical services, and
funeral expenses.
Each Township Trustee has different guidelines based
somewhat on standards set by the State.Following paperwork required:
Indiana picture ID for everyone in household over 18 years old, Social
Security card, birth certificate, VISA, green card (not expired) and/or
resident alien card, copy of the lease, and disconnect utility bill.
Each person in the household required to provide the same level of
identification.To apply for assistance, call the Township Trustee.
In
some larger populated townships, the Trustee may have staff to assist
with the application process.
Others handle the process themselves.
Applicants may be required to show documentation of income, bills, etc.
If denied services, the applicant should receive a form PR-1A stating

Housing Choice vouchers assist low-income families secure
decent, safe and sanitary housing at affordable cost.
Participants pay
approximately 30% (not to exceed 40%) of their adjusted gross income

Legal Aid Corporation of Tippecanoe County
Provides
low-cost legal assistance to low income residents of Tippecanoe County
that cannot otherwise obtain an attorney.
Legal Aid works in the general
area of family law, including divorce, child custody and visitation,
landlord/tenant cases, guardianship, adoption, mental commitment
defense, consumer debt and small claim defense, welfare CHINS (child in
need of services) cases, and some other matters.
Does not provide legal
advice over the phone, an application must be filled out.the following
types of cases shall ordinarily not be eligible for legal aid:1.
Fee
generating cases, such as contingency cases and shall include those
counter-claims and cross complaints that may generate attorney fees as
well as cases where an attorney fee is provided by statute or
contract.2.
Guardianship matters where the size of the estate is
sufficient to pay for legal assistance.3.
Cases where the matter is
generally frivolous or lacking in merit in justice or law, or motivated
primarily by revenge or other improper motives.4.
Bankruptcy cases.5.
Cases where the applicant is entitled to court-appointed counsel paid by
the State or County, such as paternity defense, putative father in a
adoption, defense of contempt of court on child support, and termination
of parental rights, except when Legal Aid is already involved in a
related case with the client.6.
Tort defense cases.7.
Cases where the
applicant should be able to receive the assistance of the Prosecutor's
IV-D office, such as the establishment of paternity and enforcement of
child support collection.8.
Most cases in which the applicant wants to
sue someone else for damages.

Soup Kitchen - Matthew 25 Care & Share Kitchen

Come to the soup kitchen door.
Food
must be picked up by an adult to be taken home and shared with family.

Tippecanoe County Temporary Assistance to Needy Families - DFR
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) formerly known as
Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) is granted to eligible
persons upon approval of their application.
It provides a maximum cash
grant of $229 per month for one eligible child and needy relative, $59
for each additional child, and $59 for an incapacitated parent living in
the home.
An eligible child living with a non-eligible relative may be
granted a maximum of $139 per month; each additional eligible child in
the home may receive a maximum of $59.The full scope of medical services
