The Inland Empire Women s Resource Center was founded in 2002 to provide a place where women can receive counseling and assistance on a number of issues under one roof. Their target market are women on welfare, women on parole and women in domestic violence shelters and their families as well. They recognized the need to provide these services under one roof due to the rising numbers of single parent households, teen pregnancies,women in prisons and domestic violence shelters. These women and their families are often unable to get the help that they need due to low income and lack of transportation. By providing these services at very reduced rates or free to those that qualify, they are able to make a difference in the lives of the families in their community.
